This is fucking insane. Anti-psychotics for ADD (I guess CNN didn't get the memo that we've dropped an 'H' in there, now)? That doesn't sound so good. I'm no expert in pharmacology or psychiatry (clearly, even though it's bullshit anyway), but from what I understand, anti-psychotics are pretty hardcore medications. The side-effects can be awful, even if they are effective in treating what they're intended for. Shit like schizophrenia. But ADD? In kids? Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Assholes. Suddenly the "fuck it, let's just pump them full of Ritalyn and get them out of our hair" school of thought doesn't seem so bad. I don't even want to know what kind of Christina Aguilera monsters kids would see on these meds.
